As many of you know I will be moving to Alabama in May.  My last day at CHA will be May 11th. It has been a difficult decision as I have grown to cherish the community where I work and live.

Diabetes in the Latino population

Diabetes is on the rise in the United States, and also here in Marin County.  A serious and potentially fatal condition of excess sugar in the blood, diabetes is often linked with obesity.  Often there are no obvious symptoms of this disease.  But as serious as it may be, lifestyle changes such as weight loss and increased physical activity can frequently prevent or manage diabetes.
