Coastal Health Alliance's June Board meeting was held at the Bolinas Fire Station.
Ken Emanuels, the Board President, after opening the meeting asked Eric Fimbres, Interim Executive Director to introduce Gary Bess, PhD and Susan Dobra, PhD of Gary Bess and Associates. Gary was engaged by Coastal Health Alliance to compile and write CHA’s Federal Grant Application.
Coastal Health Alliance is a federally qualified health center and with this designation is entitled to receive up to $654,000 per year in federal funds to help cover the cost of health care. The primary use of the funds is for the uninsured and underserved populations who receive their care at Coastal Health. The grant-funding period is typically for five years and Coastal Health Alliance is using the expertise of Gary and Susan to help secure that funding for another five years. The grant application is due later this year.
